Shall I join company by paying?

many times candidates ask – Shall I join company by paying? My comapny is asking me to pay for a job? What to do? One of our reader has asked this question to our expert:

Recently I got offer from one of the company which has asked me to pay 50000 – a sum returnable after three years. Shall I join company by paying? Or wait for an opportunity where they do not take money from freshers? I am worried as recently so many companies took money from so many students and they left by taking the money.

eg: BLUESTONE, JENS, MORPHEOUS etc

Some of my friends have paid money & joined in those companies but they left with money.

- Candidate who is asked money by employer

Expert’s Answer:

While joining in companies like small companies be careful and do not pay money. You have to be careful while joining as such companies do not have sound business models and they depend on candidates money to survive. Though they take money from candidates saying that this is just the bond money – actually this used to fund the company.

If any company takes your money in the form of fixed deposit – they are taking surity and their intentions look ok. If the company want to use your funds to run the company the likelyhood of your money being lost is very high.

So evaluate by asking this question

  • How they are taking money? Cash, Cheque, FDs
  • What is the actual purpose?
  • Who will earn interest on money?

There are many companies which are fraud. If u know any companies doing like this please mention those companies in the comments below with proper facts to make aware of rest of the people. Do not believe this type companies & dont pay money also.
