Citicorp Overseas Software Limited (COSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Citibank Overseas Investment Corporation is a part of the Citigroup. COSL was set up in 1985 as a 100% export unit at SEEPZ, Mumbai, India. COSL has since expanded and has set up additional centers of excellence at Hyderabad and at Chennai, India. COSL has more than 700 professionals working on various projects for the Global Corporate Bank as well as the Global Consumer Bank. COSL adopts an engineering approach to software development and has been rated at SEI CMM Level 5 on software process maturity in October 1999.
